A Perfect Love for Valentine Day

We married in December, 1973.  Our first Valentine Day in 1974 was a few days before I found out I was pregnant after being told by my Houston gynecologist I could not have any more children.  She was born in October. 1974
For our second Valentine day, 1975, Odis wrote me this beautiful letter along with an Opal ring with Rubies surrounding it.  I treasure both!  He knew how to spoil me.


My Darling Suzie
This past year has been so wonderful and full of love, because of you. You have given me more love and tenderness than I thought could ever be possible. You are a perfect wife to me, I love everything about you.  To me, you are the prettiest, tenderest, most precious most loving girl in the world.

You make me feel loved and needed, when I look at your pretty face and touch you, I feel weak and so very warm all over, and your love is like being in Heaven. I did not know that love could be so wonderful and so tender, but you made it all positive, you made a new world for me full of love and happiness, thank you darling, so very much.

You gave me the prettiest little baby girl that ever has been born, I love her so very much, because she is a part of you.  I am sorry you had to go through all the pain of child birth, I don’t want you to ever hurt, but I thank you for her, she is the sweetest baby ever. I hope she grows up and looks just like her mother for she will be beautiful.

I love you Suzie, more than life.  I cannot put into words the love and feeling I have for you.  I wish I could show you more or tell you in some way what you mean to me.  Your love is worth more than all the riches and possession in the world.  I appreciate your love and I trust you completely.  All I will ever ask of you is to love me and be true to me.  I want our love more than anything in the world.  I need you darling.  I will always love you, take care of you, respect you, be true to you and be good to you.  I will never do you wrong or hurt you.  I know this because I feel it deep inside of me.  You are part of me forever.  I belong to you completely and totally.  I love you more than anyone else could ever love you.  I desire to be near you, hold you, kiss you, talk to you.  I love you twenty four hours a day, not just now and then.  I think of you constantly.  I love you continuously.  I love you so very much and I will forever and a day.  My goal in life is to please you, make you happy and love you.

You may be a little holy-roller, but I would not trade you for any other.  You are a perfect wife and mother and I thank you for being mine on this Valentine day.
