Everyone says "Retirement Changes Your Life".... Odis is retiring in a few days and well deserves it. He has worked past his retirement year so that I would have health insurance. Last week, I had to go and purchase a "supplement" from Blue Cross of Arkansas. They were real nice and since the office has Blue Advantage of Arkansas, it was easy. She said I didn't look "retirement age" and she thought I was 50 something.... She is now my "friend for life" ha ha
I asked Odis if I would still have money to go to garage sales and buy shoes. He said "of course". ha ha. He wants to stay on my good side since he is going to be around me 24/7..... I did tell him to remember that I am not one of his employees and he can't "boss" me... We will see how that works out. He is accustomed to "giving orders" not "taking orders".... ha ha It will be nice not having to get up so early to eat breakfast since he cooks it for me before he goes to work.... I am so spoiled and I know it! ha ha
Someone asked Odis what he thought "Retirement" would be like..... He said he thought it was going to garage sales and "playing on facebook all day" ha ha
So, I will report back in a few weeks to let you know how this is "working out".... I could go and be a "WalMart greeter" but they have done away with that job so maybe I could stand at Summerhill with a "tin cup"?? Hey, we had someone do that at the car dealership that I worked for and after 4 days, he came in and paid cash for a pretty nice used car..... Not too bad!! And of course, I'm sure he did not pay social security or federal income tax...... Did you know that if you make $100.00 cash, it is like making about 160.00 taxable income? Maybe the illegals are better off staying illegal... ha ha
So til next time! Stay safe, happy and walk in faith and victory in Jesus Name....
